For the discerning student or anyone for that matter, we offer an upgrade on the standard with our -14 series. These ukuleles maintain an approachable price while offering upgraded appointments. The rich Laminate Mahogany is complemented by black binding and Grover geared tuners with black pegs. Well setup these do not feel like "entry level" or "price point" instruments. They are above average for a "starter" instrument, and being all laminate construction very durable for a take out camping knock around Uke.

The Ohana -18OM Series in Exotic Laminate Okume' it is a beautiful and sturdy option for your students or knock around or travel Uke.
This is an all laminate instrument and while it is stunning to look at it's made by the same factory that make the 70R & 50ME. So sound wise it's a step up from the 14 series and below the solid topped 70R & 50ME.

Twisted Wood solid Acacia Ukulele

While all Koa is technically Acacia, not all Acacia is Koa. Acacia should only be called Koa if grown on Hawaiian soil. I don't believe this is.

 This is a beautifully crafted all-solid Acacia ukulele with an ebony fretboard and bridge, hand-rubbed finish, and beautiful figuring.

I have picked this instrument because of it's solid Acacia construction and their choice NOT to bling it out.

Some of the most sought after Hawaiian Ukes are very basic in appearance focusing on the purity of tone in the traditional way.

Another biggie, they have chosen an open pore thin finish that not only looks traditional but will allow the wood to open up far better and faster than the heavier gloss finishes can.

This ukulele also features gold open-geared tuners built into a classic slotted headstock design, and it is fitted with fluorocarbon strings to further increase the instrument’s warmth and sustain.
